Searching for the word ‘dell’ may not necessarily yield you sales but knowing what people searched before or after can give you insight as to how:

1. Related keywords
2. Knowing which keywords you can focus on in terms of achieving higher conversions

The MSN search funnel tool at http://adlab.msn.com/Search-Funnels/index.aspx is extremely useful.

What it does is essentially map out keywords that people key in before or after a specific keyword you are targeting.
